Certain MAX Chart Features may not be displayed correctly, or at all, when used in conjunction with certain Chart Plotters and Navigation Softwares. Please, fill in all the fields required to verify if your cartridge is affected in conjunction with your navigation system. This process has to be repeated for each cartridge in use.

Certain C-Map MAX electronic chart features, especially underwater objects with negative sounding values, may not display correctly, or at all, when used in conjunction with certain navigation systems (chart plotters) and navigational electronic charting software The software of affected navigation systems and navigational software packages do not always and/or correctly portray some features of C-Map MAX electronic charts on the navigation system’s display when used in combination with various navigation systems (see the attached table).
This missing and/or incorrectly displayed chart information may represent a hazard when boaters rely solely on electronic charts for navigation. Jeppesen Marine will supply, free-of-charge, to all affected customers a new chart cartridge that corrects the above software problem. (“Affected Customers” are purchasers of affected C-MAP MAX charts with a release date prior to October 2006 in conjunction with various navigation systems).

How to obtain your product corrections: in order to obtain your product correction, please first VERIFY if your electronic charts and navigation system is affected. PRESS HERE to go check. Jeppesen Marine reminds navigators that navigational chart information – including information that may be critical to safety – is constantly changing.
Once changes have been detected and verified, National Hydrographic Authorities periodically publish updated information. As it is received, Jeppesen Marine incorporates the updated information into new charting products and/or updated versions of existing products. These are routinely made available to navigators.
Navigators should check how up-to-date their electronic charting products are. If your charts are out of date (ie, you are not running on the current version of the charts and/or your charts are more than one year old), Jeppesen Marine strongly urges you to update them via Jeppesen Marine directly, or authorized resellers.
