Removal of Raster Layer from C-MAP Reveal® and 4D

Please be advised that effective immediately, C-MAP will no longer offer Raster Charts as part of our offering for Reveal and 4D Charts.

Due to the increasing popularity of digital chartplotters and the declining availability of paper charts from Hydrographic Offices worldwide, the coverage of Raster Chart Layers has become significantly limited. As a result C-MAP has decided to remove this option for our customers and consumers.

An alternative representation of the official charts created by the Hydrographic offices is the ENC Cartography Option available in both Discover®, Reveal, Discover X and Reveal X. Over the coming months, coverage for this display mode functionality will continue to expand, with regions in Europe, Asia, and South America already included. Please note that selecting this option will disable proprietary layers like High Resolution Bathymetry or Satellite Imagery for example.

For those who currently have a Raster chart layer available in a 4D or Reveal chart, when updating your card this layer of data will be removed from your SD card.
